World of Warcraft Special Items

World of Warcraft carries in it a multitude of "special" or "hidden" items that can be very useful. These "special" items can be found and then sold at the auction house or to other vendors to make a little bit of extra gold. I'd like to outline for you how to go about finding these items.

First off we have "The Black Lotus". The Black Lotus is found in Winterspring. Look for it over by the cave of the blue dragon. This is normally where you will find it but it can also be found in the Eastern Plaguelands and the Badlands as well.

The next item is the "Blood of the Mountain". The Blood of the Mountain can be found in the Dark Nodes in the Searing Mountains when mining. This item will be necessary for quests later in the game and is good to have when nearing the mastery of your professions. This item also sells well at the auction house.

The "Dark RUnes" is a necessity when it comes to WoW. If you can get your hands on some of these, they sell extremely well and are of high demand. You can get dark runes by killling Mobs in Scholo.

Larval Acid is the next on this list, and this is another item that sells well. Usually selling at about 10 gold pieces each. Larval Acid can be found in Eastern Plaguelands when you grind slugs. If you want to get some gold fast grind some slugs in this area because the drop rate is high.

Last but not least we have "Stonescale Eels". Stonescale Eels are actually hard to find and can only really be gotten late at night. To find these go to the coasts of Kalimdor and you will be able to get 1 gold piece per Stonescale Eel.

Auction House

The items that you find will need to be sold and the auction house is the best place to do this. If you aren't familiar with how the auction house works I recommend staying a passive observer to watch and see how things are run. Doing this will also give you a good idea of demand and what items are wanted most.

It's important to know not to price your items to high. You will be given a suggested price to sell your item at and its advisable not to go too high or to low from the suggested price. The best time to sell your items will be at night when most people are playing.

One mistake that I made when first getting started was setting up all of my similar items for sale at once. It's important that you do not do this and trickle the items that you have pairs of over a time. You can start by submiting some of your more popular items and then a few of the common items that you have.

It's important that you do not undercut other players prices on items. This is a bad practice that will only make enemies for yourself throughly warcraft. You want to be fair and just when doing business. Its one things to be competitive in your market but another to ruin it for other players. As long as you stay fair you will do well at the auction house and can even build a good reputation for yourself.
