WoW Horde Guide
The Horde are one
of two factions that comprise the character classes in
world of warcraft. If you choose to play as the Horde you
will need to choose which race your character will be.
There are several to choose from, and like all races each
has it's own advantages and disadvantages. The races that
you will have the choice of selecting to play as are the
Blood Elves, Orcs, Tauren, Undead, and
trolls.
Blood Elves:
The Blood Elves have been known for their
magical abilities. Several thousands of years ago the High
Elves ruled and prospered their magical kingdom found deep
within the Northern Lordaeron forests. It wasn't until 5
years ago that this race of High Elves were drove to the
brink of extintion by the hand of Arthas - the evil death
knight. After the massacre and after being severed from the
elves' arcane power, those remaining banded together to
retake their homeland. Referring to themselves as the "blood
elves", this band of broken elves now seek out new sources
of arcane and magical power throughout the lands to restore
and bring justice to their race. Available classes for the
Blood Elves include: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue,
Warlock

Tauren:
Taurens are a race of large beastlike
creatures that live out in the grassy fields of central
Kalimdor. Taurens live to serve nature and despite
their large size, taurens cultivate a relatively peaceful
tribal society. Don’t let this fool you however because when
conflict is brought to their front door they will use all of
their brute strength to take down their enemy. The tauren
allied themselves with the Orcs since the Burning Legion and
have been allied ever since. Like the orcs the Tauren are
trying to retain their culture in a world not of their own.
Some of the character traits include War Stomp which can
stun up to 5 enemies at a time, Endurance which increases
your base health, and Nature resistance which improves and
reduces your vulnerability to nature spells. Available
classes for Tauren include: Druid, Hunter, Shaman,
Warrior
Trolls:
The trolls populate many islands of the
South Seas. Trolls are known for their deep hatred for other
races and recognized for their cruelty and dark mystic
practices. The Darkspear Race is currently the only Troll
race that is playable in WoW. The Darkspear are a favored
race by many players as they are reliable in fight
situations, large in size, and have great power. Some of
their character traits include Beserking, Regeneration and
Beast Slaying. Available classes for Trolls
are: Hunter, Mage,
Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior
Undead:
The undead were once ruled by the Lich
king and a few renegade group of the undead are out to
retain their own free-will and destroy any and all who
oppose or get in their way of their single minded goal. The
Forsaken, as known and as the playable race in the game are
powerful warriors who also excel in spell casting. This is a
good versatile race to play as if you want to utilize
superior fighting skills and magical capabilities. The
traits of the Forsaken include Cannibalize which can
regenerate health, Underwater breathing, and Shadow
Resistance which reduces your characters chance of being
affected by shadow spells. Available classes for Undead
are: Mage, Priest,
Rogue, Warlock, Warrior
If you decide
to play through your game apart of the Horde Faction then it
would be really beneficial for your game and you as a player to
be able to get through the levels as quickly as possible. Doing
quests can take hours, sometimes days to progress through and
can be difficult to get past some of the initial levels. In
order to speed things up a little and get as much benefit and
experience from this then grinding has been a recommended
approach to take while going through your
quests.
