WoW Fishing Guide

Fishing is one of the three secondary professions that are available to WoW-players. It is of course optional to take this profession but there are many advantages when you decide to do so. There are many fun achievements that can be completed if you decide to level up your fishing. Besides that you can make a nice amount of gold by selling your fish. There are also other items that can be fished out of lakes and seas which can also have a nice value.

If you combine the Fishing profession with the Cooking profession, you can also turn the fishes you caught into meals that give you buffs. This is nice while leveling and once you get to the levels where you can raid because a ‘food buff’ basically makes your character stronger.

If you are interested to level up your Fishing profession you have come to the right address because you can find the guidelines for both the Horde and the Alliance below. Follow these and you will level it up successfully and fast. On top of that, these guides combine leveling & cooking so you can hit two birds with one stone!

+Fishing Gear:
I also recommend that you use +fishing gear on your travels, as this will help your chances of success. While this isn't a requirement, if you purchase a "Strong Fishing Pole" once you reach level 10 fishing skill, you will increase your fishing by +5.

Leveling Your Fishing Skill:
Fishing skill is leveled by successive catches. If you haven't fished before you will level with just about every successful catch you make. Once you reach higher levels, it will take more successful catches in order to level your skill. For certain levels it will take at least 10 successful catches to gain one skill point.
